Lexicon FX Fever Enhance any vocal or instrumental performance with the MX300's tried and true effects, including 16 Lexicon reverbs, 7 delays, genuine DBX compression, and de-essing and modulated effects. A total of 99 factory programs are onboard to get you started and 99 user programs give you plenty of room to be creative.
Once you connect the hardware processor to a Mac or PC, all of its parameters are instantly ready to be tweaked, controlled, and automated in a DAW, just as they would be if they were software plug-ins. The MX300 processor comes with MX-Edit Librarian software for storing and recalling custom programs or checking out an unlimited number of Lexicon settings. Classic Lexicon effects become part of your DAW workflow as PC VST and Mac AU plug-ins.
Very Easy to Use When you're in the middle of a live show, the last thing you need is for your gear to either confuse or fail you. Designed to be reliable and easy-to-use no matter what, the MX300 will keep the awesome effects coming via its simple, straightforward interface, bright LED display, and three dedicated parameter knobs. Using the unit is a piece of cake: once a program has been selected, you use three parameter knobs -- rather than having to page through extra menus -- to program presets and dial them up. The MX300 does what it's supposed to do in even the most demanding live sound situations.
As with other effects powerhouses made by Lexicon, the MX300 is built to endure years of use and abuse and still perform at its best despite repeated incidents of jarring, jostling, load-ins, load-outs, brownouts, and power surges. Take it on tour, from gig to gig, and know it will still be as good as new when it returns home to the studio.
Front-Panel Control Forget the days of changing cables behind your rack -- the MX300 lets you switch effect routings right on the front panel using uncomplicated controls like Dual Mono, Cascade (Series), Dual Stereo (Parallel), and Mono Split.
Lexicon explains what does what: Dual Mono sends the Left and Right input signals through Effect 1 and Effect 2, and each signal is then routed to its respective output, which is completely independent from the other. Likewise, Cascade (Series) sends Left and Right input signals first through Effect 1, then through Effect 2, and then routed as a stereo signal to their respective outputs. Dual Stereo (Parallel) routes Left and Right input signals through both effects independently. Both Effects' output signals are then mixed together and routed to both the outputs as a single stereo signal. The function called _Mono Split sends Left input signal through Effect 1, while the Right input signal is sent through Effect 2. The output signals of both Effects 1 and 2 are then mixed together and routed to both the outputs as a single stereo signal.
When you want a streamlined signal path with only a single effect, go with stereo routing, which removes one of the effect modules and dedicates all the MC300's processing power to a single stereo effect path for Left and Right signals.
